I have a 2-7X33 Nikon shotgun scope that I'm taking off my .504 White and putting a 3-9X40 Leupold on her from my former encore.  Will the Nikon work on a crossbow, can it withstand the string recoil?

most people around here use simmons, nikons, and leupolds on there xbows and never had any issues. mine is a 2-7 leupold rifleman scope and i have had it on for years and it has worked out great.

I like my Tasco 2.5-10x50mm Mil-Dot rifle scope. It works great with my 270fps. arrow speed. It's on my 3D archery crossbow. I'm looking at a Tasco 2-6x32 mm Mil-Dot scope with red or green dots for my hunting crossbow. :)

The only scope I've seen destroyed by a crossbow was a Simmons turkey scope on a Ten Point GT Flex. The occular lens was rattling around in the scope.
