I would be interested in seeing harvest data for the states that have recently expanded their crossbow seasons. I live in Kentucky and to this point this year crossbows account for less than 1.5% of the total deer harvest. How about data from other states.........

Virginia has not compiled the data for this deer season yet, but you can see the complete results from last year at:

253,678 deer were taken total.
7% taken by archery hunters not including crossbows (17,881 deer)
4% taken by crossbows (9597 deer)

This is Pennsylvania's first year with full crossbow inclusion. The harvest data won't be available until March. I'll keep you posted.

Connecticut dosen't compile this data. They just have archery harvest all inclusive.
