The Mississippi Legislature is now in session!  We are still fighting for full crossbow inclusion regardless of age or physical handicaps.  Our Mississippi crossbow Federation members (and any of our neighbors who want to hunt deer in Mississippi with a crossbow) need to contact our senators and representatives now to encourage them to support classifying crossbows as legal archery equipment for all hunters.  The early archery season should be available for all who want to hunt with sticks and strings, and not just the ones who are anti-crossbow.  With the economy the way it is, our Wildlife Department needs to recruit younger hunters and retain the older ones.  What better way to do that than legalize crossbows? The federal excise taxes will greatly benefit all the sportsmen of Mississippi.  The Senate and House of Representatives Wildlife Committee members contact information appears below.  Please take time to email or telephone these legislators and urge them to support full crossbow inclusion.
