Who: All Mississippi Crossbow Federation Members, Family & Friends
What: Meeting of the Mississippi Crossbow Federation
When: 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 21
Where: Bass Pro Meeting Room. Pearl, MS
Why: As a Member or friend of the Mississippi Crossbow Federation, it is important that you attend this meeting because items will be discussed that will chart the future of our organization.
With the legislature now in session, this may be a pivotal year and one that may finally allow all Mississippians to hunt deer and turkey with a crossbow in all open seasons from October 1 through January 31.
Tentative Meeting Agenda:
1. Discuss the poling of the current MCF membership for the names of individuals who would be willing to stand for election to the permanent Officer and Board of Director positions.
2. Discuss a time schedule and methodology for holding the election.
3. Discuss the possibility of purchasing the MDWFP hunting licensee data base and conducting a MCF membership mailing to the 2,300 current crossbow permit holders.
4. Current laws and pending legislation concerning when and who can hunt with crossbows.
5. Discuss when, where and how often to hold future Membership meetings.
6. Discuss future fund raising events (we have three new crossbows in hand)
7. Current bank balance.
8. Discuss off-season fun recreational crossbow shooting activities that might encourage members to stay as members and to recruit new members.
9. Other....?
I hope that each and every one of you, your family and your friends will make every effort to attend this important first meeting.
Best Regards,
Wayne King, Interim Vice-Chairman
