Mr. Wilson, Welcome to the Crossbow Nation.  I am glad to see you here.  There are a lot of friendly folks here that are willing to share information and their experiences with crossbows.  It is good that you as a moderator on the MDWFP Crossbow forum can see what we are about.  We are not the evildoers that some on the MDWFP forums have portrayed us as a group, to be.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Mike

Didn't know you were looking for us Wilson.  I  hope you didn't have anyone tailing you.  Wilson, I'm sure you find this forum quite a bit different from the OTHER one.  Come join us, everyone here is all comfy and fuzzy and get along great. We go from serious, during hunting season, to just having fun during the off season. Your experiences and information about crossbows are always welcome.

I figured those boys needed to stay in the pin. I never once thought that you crossbow hunters were evil heck I was telling either razor or buckboy, that through all of this controversy I want to get one.  Gimmy, I wasn't really looking just thought I owed it ya'll to know more about your world. You guys have my respect for standing up for what you believe in no matter what obsticle you face. Wish this world was full of more people like that.

You good guy Nathan. Don't see how you put up with it. I'm afraid the other bunch wasn't use to getting fighters stirred up. Both sides has got a few that want a free ride and then get the benefits. Most of the Crossbowers are drained dry from the "What ifs".

Nathan - I checked in here this morning and almost dropped my teeth!  Lo and behold, there was Nwilson!  It does my heart good to see you over here.  It is a great place, as you will surely find out.  Welcome aboard.  By the way, the pen is the best place for those two.  There are a couple of others that are deserving as well, but they might slow down now that their "night shift" buddies are in time-out.

That night shift is "hit n run". Post leave it up long enough for a few to see it then take it off when they think it's time for an admin to see it.

Nathan,
I'm glad to see you over here. You said that you would like to get a crossbow. I have several and will be glad to give you one of them so that you can find out for yourself what they are all about for yourself. I believe that a person with an experience is never at the mercy of a person with an argument. I really have laughed alot at arguments on the other forum by people who base thier whole stance in life on thoery.

Harold thats awefully nice of you to give me one. I would be willing to pay for it but it will have to be closer to summer. Wife and I are trying to get some debt down before we add more to it. But I will keep you in mind come hot weather. I actually want it for my dad so he can hunt with me during archery season but whose to say that I won't use it more than him

Nathan,

I don't expect anything for it. If you want it for your father and are just going to use it that is fine with me. I have a couple of older Hortons and a older Barnett that are good bows and have killed deer. You can choose the one that you want. It would be my pleasure to help in your understanding of the crossbow experience and giving your father a chance to hunt with one.

I am floored by your generousity. I am not one to take things for free, I was taught you have to work for what you get, so I don't mind throwing a little cash at it. I will buy/take one of the Hortons, just because I know the name better than I do Barnett. When I know what my next free weekend will be I will let you know. Where do you call home?

I live on my property about 4miles west of the Holmes County State Park. I think that the 2 Hortons are at my plant in Ridgeland. I could meet you there if it would be better for you. You may call me if you like 662-573-6464. My name is Harold Boutwell.

I am no more special than the next guy. I was given the task to oversee the MDWFP Crossbow forum in the middle of a rather large and heated debate. All you see here is the generousity of one hunter to the next. Nothing more, nothing less.
