Just got a call to see if I was interested in buying this bow. Haven't seen it yet but wondering if any one has info on this one. I e mailed barnett and waiting for reply. A picture would be nice if you have it.

Thanks,

Thanks for the pic. Any idea FPS? I'm trying for $50 he is thinking more like $100. Sounds like everything is there (arrows, quiver, broadheads?, scope) I would think it is worth the $100. Any thoughts?

consider that you'll probably have to replace the string and/or the cable....if everything's there...100 doesn't sound too bad....

RAF34,

The 300 Mag shoots over 280 FPS. It has a 14 inch power stroke, and about 88foot pounds of energy. This bow has a maximum effective range of about 60 yards. Oh, it shoots a 20 inch arrow as well. Hope that helps!

Thank you,
Ty

If needed what would a ball park price on factory service, string, and cables be.

Cables $20 each, string about the same, I'm thinking.

I got it today. Its seems to be in good shape. The sting will need to be changed soon. The cables will be ok for alittle while. It has a red dot scope on it. Some alum arrows came with it but are in bad shape. (1) 20" and (4) 24". Shot it a few times but I think I'm going to have to get a couple of good arrows to see how it performs. I assume the longer arrows was for more weight? I think I'm going to try my flat knocks. The string rides the rail the same as my Ten Point. I'll see what happens.

Just tried the flat knock. Hit the same hole about 8 times. This is the first time using a red dot. I like it. Shot it another 20 + times. I need a new string now:D. String is very wet with oil or some thing.

RAF34,
You will want to pick up Barnett Rail Lube which is sold in 3 packs for under $19. A replacement string will run you about $12.75 plus shipping, should you need new cables contact the factory for your options, generally a steel cable system would be converted to synthetic when the time comes. Flat end caps used to be the norm, for consistent performance and ensure the string does not jump the arrow/bolt we recommend moon nocks....
Enjoy and good shooting.

What is the benefit of synthetic over the cables?

Shipped it out yesterday 4/16 to have the synthetic system coversion installed. Should be there on Wed. 4/21. They will also go over the bow to clean and inspect. Barnett dosen't do this work on there older bows. Production on this bow stopped around 02 - 03 from what I understand. Just for the information to other older bow owners. This is the company Barnett gave to do the work.

update. Got it back today. Put red dot back on in the same spot. With the conversion to synthetic the arrows were hitting about 2" higher at 30yrds. Using the flat nocks didn't seem to affect accuracy.
