Hello Everyone,
As I'm sure most of you are aware, the Crossbow Nation forum has had many issues.  Most of them are concerning logging into the site, but some people are having problems even viewing the new site.  My web guy Bruce and his team at Carroll Video have been working hard to get things resolved quickly so that we can get back to enjoying the forum without and headaches.  Please know that the bugs are in the new forum software and should not reflect the great job the guys from Carroll Video are doing.  They have been able to discover and correct bugs that the forum software company didn't even know about.  My hats of to these guys.
As far as the log in goes, if you have previously bookmarked the forum or added it to your favorites, you will need to delete it and start over, even if you have already done this with the new site.  The forum now has a new URL address. http://crossbownatio...ndex.php?/index
You should now be able to log into the site.  If you are still having problems, please try some of these steps.
If the site does not recognized your user name or password, please click on the link "I have forgotten my password" and have a new one sent to your email address.  Once you receive that new password, please try to log in again using the new password.  If successful, you can then go into your user settings and change it back to your original password.
If the above method did not work, please send me an email with your screen name, and what you want your password to be.  I will try to re-install it manually.  Note: passwords are case sensitive!!!
For those of you having trouble viewing the site or still seeing the old site and are using AOL, you will need to contact AOL directly.  The have addressed a problem with clearing the cookies and or cache from there browser that will take you to the old site.  They will walk you through the process to get things corrected over the phone.
If anybody is seeing any other problems with the site or getting any error messages (forum only at this point), please send me an email with the following information:

What browser you are using?

What is the version of the browser?

What path (links did you click on) to get to the error message?

What the error message says?

This information will help us correct known problems promptly.

Thanks to all for hanging in there and being patient.
Sincerely, Jeff Becka AKA: Urban Legend

Jeff, why do some of the members avatars come up and some come up with a square blank box with a little square box in the upper left corner with an x in it?

The new site software requires that avitars be no larger than 90x90. If your avitar is larger, it will show up as a red-x. Re-size it and re-load it and it will be fine.

I don't think I even have the avatar data base connected right now.  I have been trying to concentrate on all the major issues.  I still don't think the site is working properly.  I may be switching servers here soon.  Hang in there.

It must not be working correctly, because I have been able to pull it up all day.  So far.  Take the weekend off and maybe something will come to the front of your brain and tell you what you need to know to finish this.  Have a good one.  Dee

Me too.  Although this forum software requires them to be smaller.  Just resize and you'll be fine.
