Well another year and I didn't get drawn for the special hunts again. This is the 7th year I've put in and haven't been selected for any hunts at all. I really don't understand this because my hunting buddy and his brother and dad have been drawn 5 times in the last 7 years and 2 times were Antelope tags. Its really kinda frustrating seeing this and not being selected but I guess ill just keep putting in and hoping I get drawn and see how it goes.
Who got drawed

I have been putting in for the Oklahoma draws for several years. I am sure I have over 15 preference points for Elk. I drew a big blank this year again on everything. Out of all these years the only hunt I have ever been drawn for is the Quail hunt.

No one in our group drew a tag either. Did draw a Canton rifle tag in 2008, so I can't complain.

Passed on a few small bucks Saturday morning. Was then invaded by the blaze orange army about 10:30am. No bucks seen for the remainder of the weekend (at least on the refuge). Did have a nice 8 point chasing a doe on private land adjacent to the refuge...couldn't get him to cross the highway. Those flatlands are definately different than the hills I am used to hunting.
Younger brother shot a six point before sunrise Saturday.

The hills in s.e okla are way different that's where I do some of my deer hunting. Down around the stringtown area. I love it down there

It was my first year to enter, but I came up empty on all hunts. My buddy and my dad entered, and neither one of them were selected either. I even picked a lot of hunts I didn't think people would want. Oh well.. I will keep playing the $5 lottery and building up points.

This was my first year to miss the application in 7 years. Still haven't drawn 1 hunt. Oh well I feel blessed to have the private land I hunt on.
