Just bought me a dtm 375 about a month ago. Love it! Its my first crossbow to ever own. have hunted with a vertical bow for several years and decided to try something new. I have shot mine out to 80 yards and it shoots like a dream. At 40 yards 1 1/2 groups are the norm. Chronos at 378. Have emailed Mr Derrick several times and he is always very helpful and seems like a standup guy. Just thought i would post this for my very first post on this forum> would love any advice and input from you guys yawl know way more than me.

Not a lot of people cruise the Middleton section of the forum, so be sure to post questions in the general section to make sure they get in front of the people who know.
Welcome to the boards, and nice to hear about a Middleton.
Any pics?

Can't seem to find any prices on the Middletons. Do you have any quotes that you can share?

I want to post some pics but I'm not sure how haha. I paid 710 for my 375 crossbow. Not sure about any of the other ones. I bought a top quiver mount for mine. But I'm in the process of drawing up a design and making my own bc I work at a machine shop.

I have a 375 and love it. I was in the market for a recurve crossbow but after shooting the tenpoint and the Excal recurves I went looking for other options. After shooting my Strykeforce the performance of these recurves felt lacking. Got on the net and found Middleton crossbow and ordered one to give it a try. Well after shooting it for three months I have made it my main hunting bow for this year. With my other two bows being a Strykeforce and a Horton ultra lite that said alot. I have talked to Derrick many times and he has gone out of his way to help me.

Mel,
Please go thru the reasons you like the Middleton more than the SF. I own a SF, I shoot long range and doing so is impt to me, and the SF is extremely accurate. I like the idea of the simplicity and quality of the Middleton.

Don't get me wrong I love my Strykeforce and will still use it for the same reasons you like yours. I wanted a bow with about the same flight path but be able to do all work on it my self. Some of the places I hunt are about a 1000yrd walk so the 2.5-3lb weight diff with a climber on my back makes the walk alot easyer. In five min today I changed my string and was back shooting. Goldtips with blazers and brass inserts shoots around 360 and shoots as good as my Strykeforce. With the arrows Derrick sends with the bow 363gr it shoots 375-380 and will sill shoot 3in or so at 60yrds. Like I said though I am better on the phone than I am on the keyboard so pm me for my number and I will give anymore info you need.

I/2 inch groups at 40 yards is super great shooting. Have you thought about turning professional and entering competition?
