Hi,

I live in eastern Ohio, if you don't know the area I am 30 to 40 minutes west of Wheeling W.V. I have a farm, raise a lot of veggies with a few critters.

For over 40 years, I have done pistols and rifles , I load my own and cast my own bullets. Last year I got into reloading for shot guns, this year I bought a Crossbow.

My only real experiences with crossbow comes from when I was in Vietnam and played with the hand made bows there, plus I did spend some time with a guy from South Africa who had one heck of a military crossbow.

So I am new at this and probably will ask a lot of questions out of ignorance.

Thanks for having me,

Jerry

Welcome to the Nation.  There's lots of good folks here and a few nuts of course.  Come on in, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair and join the discussion.  There are no stupid questions here, there's a lot of information already on this site, to access it just use the search function.  Also the different manufacturers have a section here where information specific to that brand is available.  If you can't find something just ask, we'll help as best we can.

Thank you for your service to our country.

Welcome Jerry! As you can see I am the same buckeye dan here as the one at BFA. Glockfanjohn from BFA also frequents this site. If crossbows are your interest then you came to the right place. You'll find the folks here slightly less sterile than over at BFA so don't be shy!

By the way....Off of interstate 70 before rt 9 going east, there is a nice shop.
Guys know a bunch about crossbows there.  Hidden Valley Outdoors is the name of the shop.
I've been there to get stuff for my Horton Vision 175.  They are a service center
I guess.  NICE SHOP, GREAT PEOPLE!

I'm doing okay although this body I am in isn't doing so hot. But the Lord is giving me a new one, so why worry about it?
