Well yesterday was our opening day of the archery deer season. I think we are the last ones in the country to start deer season. This was also my first season and first day with a cross bow. Well it didn't take long this guy came out at 8:04 AM and was in the truck by 10:00 I always give them an hour before I get out of the tree stand. 7 point 134 lbs. couple more points for our team.

This is my first ever crossbow kill. Shot 10-21-10 in Granville County, N.C. @ 20 yards. He went down in 50 yards. Parker Hurricane bow, Gold Tip arrows, Parker Crosspro broadhead.
Add this to the Butcher Boys pile.

Took a doe tonight got tired of waiting and we are just about out of meat from last year. Watched it come in from about 200 yard shot it at 15 yrds, it ran about 30 yrds and dropped. A second one came in about 15 minutes later I reloaded but did not get good shot it was about 20 yrds away. Two would have been sweet.

The good Lord is smiling down on me this year. First my Elk then my opening day buck and just 4 days after my first here is a nice fat 4 point taken with my Excalibur Phoenix crossbow, Excalibur arrows and Rage 125 broad-heads. Shot last night Oct. 22. 2010 at almost dark. 45 yard shot. More points for the good guys

Team Tejas member WOLFE shot a doe Sunday morning in Kerr county TX ( Mountain home)with his Ten Point crossbow and sent this photo. I understand there's been some issues with some other teams photos so I'll let you decide if they were entered anyway or not but here's his doe and his truck. I trust him because I know him, but this is a contest and ya'll made the rules so do what you need to do. If other contest participants photos were entered without thier smiling face, then here's his. He didn't know.
