as far as water repellant goes you have to be very carefull. some will have chemical reactions to the fabric, dyes, and may deteriorate stitching thread. for the best with the least risk get 303 Fabric Guard that is made for boat canvas. it is best used in the summer months though, just like any repellant to get full cure. as far as the pin holes goes they will not be a problem once the repellant is applied. even though you can see light through the needle holes water will not pass through using a quality repellant. one thing about the 303 it will help the camo resist fading and deterioration from UV rays.

the fact that a carbon [cracked] arrow can explode on release keeps me using aluminums. with the torque an xbow puts on an arrow it would be ugly. also, friends of mine that hit bone with their high performance xbows have their arrows shatter with splinters of carbon fiber in the meat.

I would not  use any Loc Tite on the 4 side screws. Just keep them tight. I check them at least every 50 shots.
why no loctite, they have different grades. i would think that retightening the screws over and over would eventually wear the aluminum threads. Horton had to replace my stock a while back and i think they must have used it cause i have shot my TRT a whole bunch and the screws have not loosened.
