alabama's coastline

13 October 2011 - 09:46 PM

i'm on a roadtrip, been driving down I-10 from houston and in new orleans got on state route 90 and drove along side the beach on the entire mississippi coastline. the alabama coast is where i found heaven. drove to dauphin island and took the ferry over to fort morgan. the dolphins were jumping out of the water and the entire trip along the coast of alabama was just outstanding. the coastal route from there into naverre florida was very nice. idrove 159 miles today from biloxi mississippi into florida along side the beach and the coast of alabama is a national treasure. ihave driven thru approx 43 of our 50 states and i have seen some beautiful spots. coastal california, the olympic peninsula in the state of washington, colorado, glacier national park etc. coastal alabama and the coast in western florida rank right up there.

eye relief

12 June 2011 - 11:28 PM

when i bought my strykeforce in '09 i had a major problem with eye relief and i lucked out and found the perfect rings on ebay that slid the scope down the rail and i mounted a lumizone on it and it was comfortable to shoot. this year i am thinking about buying a excal twilight scope and zrt1200 found these rings that are for a 30mm tube. they are expensive. (30mm) i am going to list the item # so you can find these on ebay and there are pictures of both. if you have uncomfortable eye relief these are your ticket. 1 inch rings : 190501415606, these are what i use with the lumizone. 30mm: 130517304698. these are what i'll use with the twilight. hope this helps somebody out. from the pictures i've seen of the strykezone the scope rails look the same so these rings should fit those too.
