I attended the NRC meeting this morning and after much debate with an amendment to shorten the proposed crossbow season to the month of October, firearm season and the late archery season this leaving the pre-rut and rut to vetrical archers. As understand it that amendment as a "substantial change" and was not supported by "written comments". The Administrative Law Judge said that because of that we would almost have to start at square one again. That would extend the process even further than the 2 1/2 years it has gone through already. The person who proposed the amendment said he did not want to put us through any more and withdrew the amendment and made a motion to adopt the original proposal of all of archery season. It was seconded and passed unanimously.

Crossbows for everyone in all Indiana archery seasons beginning the 2012-2013 season.

Public hearings scheduled for proposed changes to deer hunting rules

The Natural Resources Commission will conduct two public hearings on proposed changes to deer hunting rules next month. The components of the proposed deer rule changes include modifications to the season structure, bag limits, hunting equipment, and licensing requirements.

Yes... I've commented 3 times on crossbows. Each time was with different data from other stare, as well as our own. Get your buddies and each member of your family to give input. Women and kids will greatly benefit fromthis proposal.

This is a very small bone with no meat on it thrown to crossbowers as an attempt to appease. It will not do any good at all.
