You could make your arrows out of 2216 or 2219 aluminum arrows. Just cut them off to the length you need. You can probably use other sizes as well. Since the shaft is so short, spine isn't an issue with hunting weight arrows such as the 2219 and 2216.

If you want a good FOC, you could use a 2216 with a gold tip brass insert and 100 or 125 grain broadheads. If you didn't want to use brass inserts, then use one of the 150 to 180 grain broadheads designed for crossbows.

That's my opinion on the matter, you mileage may vary!

This is why I love this forum. I was in a BowTech dealers shop getting my buddies Allegiance tuned and I saw a SZ380. I immediately fell in love with it's compact design and overall good looks. They thing just looks compact and awesome. He had marked it down to $650 and I was trying to think of things to trade him for it. Luckily, I decided to wait. Now I found this thread and I'm glad I did. I'll stick to my reliable Excals for now, but one of these days I will have to try some training wheels!

Dude, you got to hit more Garage sales! I find a lot of good hunting and fishing equipment at them, not to mention other stuff for my "projects" around the house. My latest find was a dozen brand new Ameristep screw in steps for $3!
