Grandpa's Shotgun
My dad just sent me my grandpa's old shotgun and I really don't know much about it. I know my dad refinished the stock and fore grip which I know hurts the value, but it really is the sentimental value that I care about anyhow. I wouldn't sell it if it was worth thousands of dollars. I just want to keep it in the family. Do any of you know anything about this gun? I can tell you it is a Marlin 16 gauge pump shotgun with a hammer. That's about all I know.
New Article:Introducing the Barnett Vengeance Crossbow
20 May 2012 - 02:13 PM
Personifying a steely resolve and determination, the new Barnett Vengeance crossbow is aptly named. The Barnett Vengeance represents a quantum leap in crossbow evolution. It is the first crossbow to combine a lightweight CarbonLite Riser with reverse draw technology. As a result, the Vengeance exhibits significantly less vibration and noise than a traditional draw crossbow without sacrificing speed or accuracy.
In this radical new reverse draw configuration, the limb pockets are moved closer to the trigger assembly and the limbs face forward on the bow, thus shifting the center of gravity closer to the shooter's body. This drastically reduces the weight at the front of the crossbow, which is essential for a well-balanced shot.
In addition, the Vengeance features a CarbonLite Riser front assembly, which further reduces the weight without compromising strength or accuracy. The most technically advanced riser ever created for a crossbow, the CarbonLite Riser removes approximately 43% of weight from the front end, which dramatically shifts the balance point to the shoulder. The combination of the reverse draw design with the CarbonLite Riser allows the Vengeance to provide the steadiest and most accurate shot possible.
Decorated in a stealthy matte black finish or in a highly effective concealing camouflage, the Vengeance is available through retailers as a complete package with crossbow, quick detach quiver, three 20" arrows and choice of either Premium Red Dot Scope or 4x32 Multi Reticle Scope.
Like all other Barnett Crossbows, the Vengeance is proudly made in the USA.

Unfortunately I still do not have all of the server issues resolved. One of the items that are effected are my emails. If you have sent me an email and never received a response, I either tried and it did not go through, or I never received it. I will always respond normally. I will let you know when everything is resolved. Until then, please keep trying.
Specialized's Surgery
01 May 2012 - 12:03 PM
Just got an email from Larry's wife. She said that the surgeon said everything went well. He is waiting for a recovery room now. I know from speaking with him yesterday afternoon, he will have a long recovery with plenty of idle time. I'm sure once he given the green light, he will be back here on the Nation checking in. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts.
