i just got a carbon express 300, first crossbow ever and cannot wait! My wife and kids are excited also, bow hunting was a little hard for them to pick up. Kids are 9,6 and 2 so go figure huh? Seems like great folks on here. I will have many questions I am sure!

Yep, this is a cool site. You get to know the people and they become your friends. I was addicted to this site for a while. The only thing I knew about crossbows when I first started coming to this site was that I wanted one. Most everyone on this site is very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I learned a lot from these folks.

hey there, i evac'd out of Mandeville for Katrina and never went back. I bet we know some of the same people somehow, all coonasses know each other one way or another! Been on this site 10 minutes and like it already

I had been meaning to get in touch with you too, I knew you had to be from lafayette and may have even had a deano's pizza from time to time.. I hunt behind the krotz springs oil feild in a club next to indian bayou reserve between krotz springs and the butte la rose exit off I 10...how about you ?

Hey Arrowhead,
I decided to order a Turbo XLT. I plan on (although I have never done it) fletching my own bolts. What brand fletching jig would you suggest for a begginer and do I need Straight, left or Right Helical? Which bolt do you recommend for the Tenpoint Turbo XLT and what size and brand vanes do you think is the best for this setup? Can you send me your website so I can order through you?
I am new to archery and I do not know anyone that is in to archery so I have to learn everything on my own and through forums like this. Any advice would be appreciated.

So you have both the Tornado and the Turbo XLT? Daaang, it must be nice!! :) So let me ask you this... Which one are you going to hunt with come bow season? You did tell me that the Turbo is a little more compact than the Turbo right?

My dad is a retired Asst. Chief, My stepbrother is a fireman in Opelousas, and my brother is a Capt. in Lafayette. And I ended up in the oilfield!!! Where do you hunt brfd? I live in Lafayette and I just joined a club in Pineville.
