With the season getting closer, it seemed like it was a good time to switch from the longer, wider recurve that I’ve been using for 3D, to something a bit more compact in the stand. This is a DTM 355 SS that I bought from Inspector98 back in 2014. Updated with the shadow bark stock done by Wyvern and given to me by bbahunter. Still a few shoots left with the Bloodsports before switching to 18” Dragon Claws or Tapps and Ramcats. This will be the Backup to the hybrid 380, which is already dialed in and shooting the ‘cats like lasers. :) Crosshairs at 30, bottom duplex at 40 works well for my simple mind.;)

Wish I still had my Midi 375SS, but alas the limb issues! That 355 ought to last a good long time Jeff.

That set-up looks killer. Taint no back-up... that’s a first-up IMO.
No question I have always liked this bow a ton! That said, the 380 hybrid shoots at least as well, 25 FPS faster, has a sniper trigger, and is very special because of the person who sent it to me. :)

Found out today that the dagger I recently bought has some damage to all 4 limbs. To soften the blow, I took the 355 SS to the range to check the tactical Tapps with Ramcats and set the Horton scope. Didn’t have to do much, as first shot at 20 was on the x. Guessed speed and 30 was the same. 40 just needed two clicks right. First two Tapps (18”, fusion vanes, 92 grain DT inserts) were spot on with the ‘cats. Last one needed turned, then hit spot 3 more times. Will check the other two Tapps sometime between now and mid October opener, but I’m not worried. This bow keeps reminding me how silly it is to keep looking for greener pastures. Gonna be a sad day when these 6 year old limbs go, but can then open up the riser and put some Matrix limbs on and it will still shoot well (just be louder).

Last club 3D shoot for the year was this afternoon. The SS did better than the guy behind the trigger, but 5-12s, 9-10s, and a single close 8. Feel pretty confident if it has to go to the stand a time or two. :)
