I have the 360 td and it's a nice accurate crossbow that's JMO.

Are you using the standard Quill bolts that came with it. The range day video with those bolts was incredible

Not so easy to find anymore, pretty sure they have been discontinued for the 380. I love the bow was going to buy one last year but just hunted another year with my Parker Thunderhawk. I found one left at a near by Cabela's. If it's still there tomorrow I might take it off there hands. I just don't like the Cabela's experience

My concerns are kinetic energy produced by 355 grain bolts , and that it is a 4 year old model that is now discontinued. I like the Assassin 400TD , but wow it is a little heavy

I used 400-plus grain arrows with all my Excalibur Crossbow which puts the KE Up but it drops the speed. Excalibur gets its speed from 350 gr arrows.

The 400 TD is heavier but it fits me well as the weight also has a shooting stabilizing effect with a large lbs crossbow.For example, all good R-scopes are usually also heavier ...

IMO it would be the better choise.
The limbs will be in production longer.
It doesn't come with the front Air brakes, (better balanced).

Has the true Micro limbs.
Has the Take-down feature. (Fits in the Explorer soft case)
40 lbs. more draw weight.
has the better scope (Tack 100)

But you've probably already bought the 360.

I removed the air brakes from my 360td which balances the crossbow better upfront. IMO I thank they cripple the crossbow with performance.

I am shooting 18 inch Easton aluminum XX75, 2219's with aluminum flat nocks and 60 grain aluminum front inserts with 150 grain field points/ 150 grain Excalibur Bolt cutters. Total weight 500 grains at 325fps.

At 50 yards, the top two are field points and the lower two are 150 grain BoltCutter.

One anomalous shot is probably a mistake in shooting? 50 -yards is a long way to go, its success is also affected by weather (e.g. wind) conditions
