It was 68 degrees here in North Texas this morning as a cool front passed through. Pretty rare to see lows in the 60s this time of the year but I'll take it! Just need some more rain....

Come on Fall!

52 here, gorgeous with the steam rising off the lake over the marsh,,, but short lived men enjoy it! They are calling for upper 80's and humidifies to match by the weekend.

I'll be finishing my latest solo distancing project while it comfortable the next 2 days, I still need to paint the brick molds and jams on all the exterior doors and the doors themselves while replace all the door sets at home, after redoing all 6 decks at home and here at the lake in that miserable heat that almost got me down last week!

Then I am going to pick a more enjoyable project for my next solo distancing project for the rest of this miserable month of August. I was supposed to be in the Porcupine Mountains and Copper Harbor on the Softglide with the new camp trailer this month, but that was before this nasty Virus showed it's teeth!

I aint even close to getting antsie about setting in a tree or on the ground at this 52* tropical weather,,,,

I'm the odd man, this nice, but not what I call hunting weather! I know after years whats coming, and that is my type of weather, frost on the ground in the morning, and leaves a falling, get's my attention! from then on it only get's better! I'm in heaven when I got white powder on the ground to humor me.

With the first Sunday of February being the end of our season, at my age I pace myself, and don't burn myself out getting in a hurry in them bug infested conditions, besides, I just run outa gas anymore in warm weather, I have to kill,, then get drug out, and trust me, I prefer dragging over some gas propelled contraption that has no business in the woods,,, just my personal preference, to each their own!

But when it's so warm I gotta process it, at least filet it out and ice it down,,, no thanks to much work with venison still in the freezer! I'll wait till can have some time for it hang a while and have a natural cool down, then take time a couple three days cutting grinding wrapping and smell the roses along the way! Plus I don't need to fight the bugs fer it then either,,, ;)

I'm absolutely the odd man out! But this is heaven!
