Hello Everyone. I wanted to give a new update to my bow i had posted a few months back.
I am using the Aculeus 460 bow.

Today i wanted to get out and re-zero my bow after mounting the new Vortex Crossbow scope.
By the way, the scope is bad ass. Cant wait to see how it performs from a tree with little light.

Today i shot 3 arrow types with 100gr and 125gr match field points.
Arrow (1)
22" Scorpyd's OEM Black Eagle modified by Jerry (327gr) Tip Weights: 427gr. w/100gr tip = 435fps w/125gr tip= 426
Arrow (2)
22" Jerry's Spynal Tap (352gr) Tip Weights: 452gr. w/100gr tip = 435fps w/125gr tip= 415

20" Tenpoint Prolite with plastic alpha nock (286gr)Tip Weights: 386gr. w/100gr tip = 446fps
Only shot it once.

So my question is now. Why is my bow not shooting anywhere near as fast as whats being published.
Scorpyd posts on site, 380fps w/370gr arrow.
i wouldnt expect loosing 30+ fps for 15gr.

On a side note, what arrows are people shooting and their weights and their FPS?

Thanks again everyone for their help.

In closing im not really trying to chase the speed but I thought i would be getting 440-460fps from a 420gr arrow but im far from it.

See my post in your other thread. Most Scorpyds will NOT make advertised speeds. I said MOST, rarely you will find one that will.

who ever approved it, didnt read it cuz i ask it to be deleted because i realized that i was using a 125 point instead of the 100. So the speed was acceptable with the arrow weights i was using.
