I currently have my speed ring set at 340 on my hawke xb30. The 20 yard top crosshair is dead on at 20 yards. If I want to zoom it in for a shot by adjusting it to 400 will the top/20 yard crosshair still be dead on at 20 yards? I don’t care about the other crosshairs only the top one.

Correct. The 20 yard zero is on the fixed lens so magnification won't affect it.

That is totally correct. I like my Sig Sauer BDX scope because I can use the magnification at any time and keep my POI the same at whatever distance I am shooting.
A major value point of the SIG scope!
