Advice on bolts for Used Matrix 380

Evening...

Just purchased a used Excalibur Matrix 380 for my son so he can start crossbow shooting and hunting with me.
The bow is in excellent condition and came with the scope, 6 Diablo 18" bolts, sling, case, extra string and bow press device.
I put 100 grain filed tips in the bolt and weighed it on my Lyman reloading scale- 356 grains. The manufacturer says 350 grain bolt minimum when I looked it up today. This seems light to me.

What are you guys shooting for total weight on your bolts for the Matrix 380? I want accuracy and penetration so I'm thinking 400 grains or a bit more.

What advice can you share please?
Thanks

I am shooting Bloodsport Witness arrows from my BD400 and they are excellent out to 70 yds so far. They are inexpensive, $35 for 6, and blew me away when I weighed them and they all came in within a few tenths of a grain and they shot together! I think they weigh about 420 with a 100 grain head if my memory is correct. They have 2 versions, with 3" and 4" vanes, might be different manufacturers of the shafts. My 3" vanes were heavier by 10 grains and shot maybe a little tighter beyond 50 yds but maybe it was just my shooting.
Warning that they have half moon nocks and Excalibur recommends flat nocks. I have been shooting mine with the half moons all summer and doing great but have some flats coming to change them out.
I use 150gr heads, that should put you at 406gr.

I shot 20” arrows out of my BD380 only because I like the arrows to be inside if the stirrup. That way if you go to decock the bow, your boot will kick the arrow off the rail! A built in safety feature for me! You do get forgetful in your older ages! Good luck!

i have the 380, shooting aluminum xx75 weighing 530 grains, deadon at 25 yards, inch high at 20, 2 inches low at 30. these are 19 inches long with 150 grain bat boltcutters. 310 fps. just giving you an example of a heavy combo. also cant shoot at the same spot twice without damaging arrows using a red dot. good luck with whatever you choose!
I shoot BEE 20" arrows with 110gr inserts out of my Matrix 355, with a 100gr head they weigh around 420gr on my scale. Very accurate too.
Easton 2219's XX 75. For my Matrix 330, which I cut down to 17 inches.
125 grain points, I think my total arrow weight is about 420 grains, give or take.
After being given some great advice from guys here on CBN, I contacted Jerry at South Shore Archery and picked his brain a bit. He was very friendly and offered his expertise on the right arrow for the Matrix 380 in his opinion for my son to start with.
His recipe of parts was: 18" Zombie Slayers, aluminum flat nock, 2" blazers w/2 degree rt helical orientation, 110 grain inserts and spine/weight matched shooting a 125 grain head... should be about a 425+ grain arrow.
I ordered 6 for my son's Matrix 380. That should be good for a while and I'm sure Jerry's vast experience with custom arrows will give my son great accuracy and penetration!

Thanks fellas for all of your input...much appreciated
