It may not be shipping in large volumes yet

the sample used in the review was 00002 .... there were not that many around. It will probably become more common in the next upcoming weeks as people preapare for the next season.

I'm pretty mutch like High end stuff in anyting, I was to buy a Tenpoint
but since $$ is still important i got the predator... , price & speed, spec look interesting, Hope i like :) (i know barnett is probably not as good as a tenpoint but not as costly too btw...)

X007,
My predator arrived a few days ago.
I am very impressed with this crossbow.
I have sighted it in at 15,30,40,50,60 yards with the 4x32 scope.
At 60 yards this bow puts the bolts on target.
I think it would do 100 yds. with no problem.
Extremely quiet and powerful.
trigger pull is smooth also.

Hmmm....wonder if the Predator risor (limbs) will attach into the Quad stock?
It'd make a nice short, quiet Barnett crossbow.

Yes, the Predator riser assembly will fit on the Quad stock. You may or may not have to remove the nose bushing insert depending on the age of the stock and the size of the nose bolt.

I received my Predator last week. It shoots better that I can hold. It also

seems pretty fast to me.:D I was surprised that noise level was higher that

I had anticipated. Up close it is a loud clack. Twenty five yards away and off

to the side it is more a muffled thump. I'm looking forward to using

it archery season here in Va. I bought it new from a dealer and it was a 2007

model and not 2008. I found out after shooting it that some upgrades had been

for 2008. Mine has the plastic trigger. After the season I will return to Barnett

and get the upgrade metal one that was put in 2008 models. Live and learn!

Lowrider,

I am glad that you like your Predator. Your trigger pull should be machined aluminum. If your trigger pull is plastic than it must be an older '07 Rev trigger assembly.

When the season is over, PM me and I will make sure that you get the full '08 package upgrade for your bow.

Good Luck on your hunt.

i bought a predator its back to the factory for the second time. check your cables where they run thru the body of the stock. you will have to take the front of the bow off. my cables were rubbing together and the cables were starting to fray. it also ate the serving up in less than 40 shots. i just happened to see the cables because i had to take it apart to ship it back. all of my coumpound crossbows have cable slides so the cables wont rub. the predator does not. this cant be good for the cables.

Most ALL cables rub on each other...on most all bows (except the Bowtech crossbows for two)!
One big reason for the string wax!!!
And if I'm not mistaken, the underside of the slot on your Preditor stock should have a piece of Teflon tape so the cables slide easier...check to see if it's still in place.
