Thinking about buying an axe. Couple of questions. Can you shoot alpa nocks or are they flat nocks only? Also can I cut down BEE.001 to shoot? Never had a recurve crossbow and thought I would like to try one. Thanks. Bill

Flat nocks. Yes you can cut any arrow to fit the Axe requirements. Once most buy and shoot a Excalibur crossbow they keep them for life. Simplicity and accuracy! Good luck!

You CAN shoot Alpha nocks, there’s simply no reason to do so. Alphas are also about 15 grains heavier than plastic flats.

I have a bunch of arrows with alpha nocks already installed. All I have to do is cut them down and add new inserts. That’s why I was asking. Thanks for all the info.

You could always pull the Alpha section and replace it with an Omni section. That's a bit closer to a flat nock.
