Camo Pattern: Strike

Barnett is famous for not being accurate.

New website specs are :
Dimensions31.25" L x 19” W
Weight6.2 lbs. (if true major score!)
Axle to Axle (in)16.5 in
CNC Machined Aluminum Flight Track
Draw Weight (lbs)200
Kinetic Energy (ft lbs)135
Power Stroke (in)13.75
Speed (fps)*400 (I suspect 380 grain arrows)
Trigger TypeTriggerTech (score).
Flat face string stops

I got a deal I could not refuse. Now I know I will more then likely have to super tune.

The adjustable butt stock is different then the TS370 series but works the same.

Areas I expect to address immediately.
Adding shims
Advancing cams
I will shoot an arrow close to 400fps. Not sure if it will be 400 grain or 425 gran arrows.

I plan to add Vortex Crossfire II scope to this Xbow.

Not sure how they eliminated weight to get down to 6.2 lbs. I will give a thorough review with Vortex Crossfire II scope mounted on the Xbow.

TK, that new Journey begins Thursday nite. Not sure what to expect but anticipate similar positives like my TS370. If I actualize similar results I will be be quite satisfied.

At least the camo pattern is a good start. I do like that.

I think part of my DNA is to play and improve. I'll see what develops. What attracts me to the Explorer XP400 is the 6.2lb spec'd weight. Wow!

Tom, please let us know when you can.
I expect the Xbow in on Thursday night. I'll assemble and give quick overview but not final thoughts per my impressions.

Well it arrived sooner then I had anticipated. Nice surprise between virtual Covid-19 BOD meeting. 😎

I need to order Bojax Knuckle -Saver string stops. Not going to go use those angled string stops. Barnett defaulted to them again. Urrrghhh!!!!! :p Simple fix. I'll putt together later tonight and weigh it. Was surprised I got it before my Vortex Crossfire II scope I do plan to fix/attached to this Xbow.

To be continued. Man, the strings are dripping with wax. Yikes! I'll clean it off and install my new favorite string wax from Bhoning. It's called Seal-TITE. That stuff is sticky and lasts longer than any string wax I've used to date.
