Hi All,
I just replaced the string and cables on the Sniper, seems like most of the wear came from the cable guide itself. Has anyone tried not running the cable guide at all?

If you have any notable wear on the cables at the guide contact point there's an issue. Waxed cables will last for 3-4 years and thousands of shots unless they are dry, get sand in them or the guide was installed wrong. If the top cable is in the short slot you will have excess pressure on the bottom cable where they cross but that would show up off to the side where they cross, not at the guide. Cables on aluminum is not a good long term plan and that's why there are cable guides. ;)
