My daughter got this 200 lb. 7 pt. yesterday evening. I know it’s not a crossbow kill but cut this proud dad some slack.
She was my main hunting buddy for several years but once she reached about 17 she lost interest in hunting for a few years. She’s now 20 and her love for deer hunting has returned. 😀 I couldn’t be more proud of her if she’d of killed a booner. She’s killed several bigger bucks before but she got this one all on her own.
She was so excited and proud of herself.
My main hunting buddy is back…at least for a while anyway.
I’m feeling so blessed and thankful.
God’s good!
Daddy’s, spend time with your children when they’re young because they grow up faster than you’ll ever believe possible.

That’s Teency our little Malti-Poo tracking dog in the picture with my daughter. She lead us right to the deer.

Congrats to your daughter and the proud dad! My daughter didn't get up for archery season but will be here for the PA rifle season. Can't wait!

Congrats to the young lady on a nice buck and that proud smile! Well done to her and her teacher.

You're right, they grow up fast, but they never outgrow the bonding you do along the way.

Congrats to her, my 14yr old daughter is still looking to bag her first bigger buck. She couldn't go during first gun season this past weekend due to BB practice, and we always hunt first season 4hrs away so we will get back out with the bows over the Thanksgiving weekend and maybe jump something nice.
