I'm here … Christmas party till 3:00am, daughter & grandkids in from Georgia, Radio City & Rockettes Christmas Show yesterday on New Years Eve. (Cost me 2k to take 10 people to the show!) Taking the kids to "Frozen" on Broadway Friday. Anything NYC is stupid expensive. Circus act getting across town from 50th & 6th Ave to the Imperatore Ferry on the Hudson with a party of ten people when all 58,000 NYC cops had every road barricaded against terrorists. (Ball Drop mobs) For what it's worth the cops at 7 different barricades displayed incredibly common sense and decision making for letting us pass through because one of our party was pretty hobbled. We had to walk out of the no traffic zone to access Uber and cabs. They were making everyone walk to 57th street to cross over. I was stunned and mighty impressed with the cops. A far cry from the useless and superbly mindless Port Authority cops at Newark Airport when I picked up the Georgia gang. Closed the ramp to terminal C arrivals and just sent a thousand cars trying to pick up love ones into nowhere. No detour signs, no police directions just one angry dick making everyone take another ramp. Most cars driven by poor confused people unfamiliar with the airport. Newark PA must have a test to determine who has the least common sense and the highest anger quotient of all potential candidates ... and this dates back three decades. They remind me of CO's...lol Just them too. I've used LaGuardia & Kennedy Airports many times and the cops are pretty decent.

Had to modify the shooting platform to fit the new truck and been designing a platform for my 6x4 John Deere Gator too.

Anyway, Georgia is here till Saturday, then Jan 10th I fly to Georgia for 5 days, then February 1st I start prep work on an out of state project. Gonna have to get some deer on the ground in there somewhere!

Been thinking, I should make a couple bucks out of state, and the 2020 ATA is just around the corner ...lol Funny, last season I was pumped about updating my gear. Tried some patience & common sense for a change and gave a year for Ten Point, Scorpyd and SWAT to shake out the bugs. Yet this year my existing Orion coupled with the new Vortex 3-15x44mm GenII is seeming more than adequate and efficient. The optic upgrade was a major difference. Something is going to have to really WOW me to get my money in 2020 I think.:)

Since I've … turned this thread into a personal rant I'll add another one. I bought a Microsoft X-Box a year or two ago to have something for the grandchildren to play when they're here. Half dozen old Xbox games laying around from a 15? year old Xbox, but only two actually work in the newer model. We go nuts trying to set up the platform for two kids to sit on the couch and play games. There NO way for two kids to sit side by side and play a video game together anymore???? They can play together "if they're on different consoles with separate subscriptions" Basically they can play together "if they're in different houses!??" Do you wonder why kids have no social skills and wind up shooting up schools?

Gets better … so I pack everyone into the truck and head to one of the 3 super video specialty stores around me to check Nintendo, PlayStation and/or some gadget that lets Xbox do the deed … the one that allows multi-player side by side. For a couple hundred bucks, screw Microsoft I'll buy something else. The head Geek gets a look on his face of abject confusion. He's got that "pinball wizard" look about him as having been a basement keyboard Terminator, black outfit, black tee shirt with some Star Wars or Call to Duty message, milky pale complexation, haphazard 3 day beard growth of a young man who's turned his video obsession into managing a store. It's clear to see the mental struggle he's going through just absorbing my question though. A completely foreign concept? I re-explain my quest 3 different ways. Finally, a very dim lightbulb of understanding goes on behind his eyes. With the caution and trepidation of someone exploring new and unfamiliar ground, he tells me "no platform does that." He tries. He leads me over to some used games for an older Nintendo? system that used to allow side by side. Then he slowly drifts off in reverse, almost levitating out of the scene like a ghost in an old black & white movie. We're left to be confused on our own.

Folks … society as we have known it is dead!

On the up side, I did buy my grandson one of those suction cup bow & arrows for Christmas. My daughter suppressed the concerned look as the paper came off...lol The kid has gradually gravitated to shooting the thing on his own. Hopefully it triggers an interest in archery tournaments and actually interacting side by side with physical humans...lol

Lol!! I don't even know how to turn the dang thing on. I just know I've seen two of them playing at the same time. I asked my son about it and he said more than one person can play at the same time on certain games. I think I've seen them playing the sports type games, football, hockey, soccer, ect.. He wasn't home when I talked to him but I'll try to get more details later out of one of my boys.

...sounds like someone is feeding you a line. My son said there's "tons of games" that do a split screen two player mode.

Tom is … one of the few guys around here with whom I have differing opinions, who has both a sense of humor, and sense of sport who can take & give a ribbing without feigning insult. In this "Age of Outrage" perpetrated by the liberal left, where everyone loves to embrace playing the victim and lashing out at perceived or contrived disrespect, that's becoming the rare individual. :)

What's to become of this place should Moon & I wind up with the same SWAT, or AXE? If we're both advocates of the same crossbow technology? I mean it appears I've already quietly inspired him to shoot a 400fps bow. :p It's not an unimaginable concept … us agreeing on something.;)
