?? My Kids have the current version of the X-Box and are capable of sitting next to each other and playing...Since I've … turned this thread into a personal rant I'll add another one. I bought a Microsoft X-Box a year or two ago to have something for the grandchildren to play when they're here. Half dozen old Xbox games laying around from a 15? year old Xbox, but only two actually work in the newer model. We go nuts trying to set up the platform for two kids to sit on the couch and play games. There NO way for two kids to sit side by side and play a video game together anymore???? They can play together "if they're on different consoles with separate subscriptions" Basically they can play together "if they're in different houses!??" Do you wonder why kids have no social skills and wind up shooting up schools?
Gets better … so I pack everyone into the truck and head to one of the 3 super video specialty stores around me to check Nintendo, PlayStation and/or some gadget that lets Xbox do the deed … the one that allows multi-player side by side. For a couple hundred bucks, screw Microsoft I'll buy something else. The head Geek gets a look on his face of abject confusion. He's got that "pinball wizard" look about him as having been a basement keyboard Terminator, black outfit, black tee shirt with some Star Wars or Call to Duty message, milky pale complexation, haphazard 3 day beard growth of a young man who's turned his video obsession into managing a store. It's clear to see the mental struggle he's going through just absorbing my question though. A completely foreign concept? I re-explain my quest 3 different ways. Finally, a very dim lightbulb of understanding goes on behind his eyes. With the caution and trepidation of someone exploring new and unfamiliar ground, he tells me "no platform does that." He tries. He leads me over to some used games for an older Nintendo? system that used to allow side by side. Then he slowly drifts off in reverse, almost levitating out of the scene like a ghost in an old black & white movie. We're left to be confused on our own.
Folks … society as we have known it is dead!
On the up side, I did buy my grandson one of those suction cup bow & arrows for Christmas. My daughter suppressed the concerned look as the paper came off...lol The kid has gradually gravitated to shooting the thing on his own. Hopefully it triggers an interest in archery tournaments and actually interacting side by side with physical humans...lol
Educate me ...lol?? My Kids have the current version of the X-Box and are capable of sitting next to each other and playing...
Lol!! I don't even know how to turn the dang thing on. I just know I've seen two of them playing at the same time. I asked my son about it and he said more than one person can play at the same time on certain games. I think I've seen them playing the sports type games, football, hockey, soccer, ect.. He wasn't home when I talked to him but I'll try to get more details later out of one of my boys.Educate me ...lolYou can't make a statement like that without a "how to" instructional.

Sorry Tom,had to do it...….
Tom is … one of the few guys around here with whom I have differing opinions, who has both a sense of humor, and sense of sport who can take & give a ribbing without feigning insult. In this "Age of Outrage" perpetrated by the liberal left, where everyone loves to embrace playing the victim and lashing out at perceived or contrived disrespect, that's becoming the rare individual.Tom sound like the French girl.....Pierre,you haven't abused me in a week...is there someone else???
