CrossbowNation.com is attending the 2018 ATA Show and we had a chance to talk to Excalibur Crossbows about its new flagship model - the Excalibur Assassin.
If the Excalibur Assassin looks familiar at all, it's because it shares the front end with the Micro Suppressor. But the rest of the bow is brand new.
Perhaps the key feature of the Excalibur Assassin is the integrated and totally silent Charger Crank System. This crank allows you to cock or de-cock the bow silently with absolutely no clicking. The Charger Crank System requires just 12 pounds of cocking effort.
Also new is the Pro-Shot match-grade trigger. This is a two-stage trigger that is designed to mirror that of a modern match-grade rifle.
As well, the bow is designed to fit most anybody, thanks to the Tru-Fit stock. This stock has three inches of adjustablility without the use of tools
As for specs, the Excalibur Assassin can achieve speeds up to 360 feet per second, has a draw weight of 285 pounds, overall length of 30-33 inches, cocked width of 21 inches, uncocked width of 25 inches, draw length of 15 inches and total weight of 7.7 pounds. Retail price is $1,699.
