I’ve been shooting the 460 a lot. And I mean a whole lot. I’ve shot the standard arrows, arrows from WWB, and arrows from Jerry. This Flatline has shot all of them well. In fairness, I can only squeeze 50 yards in where I live. That’s also my self imposed kill distance. I’m killing everything I’m shooting at no matter the arrow. I’m well over 100 shots and the strings and cables are holding up great! If you can swing this bow, you owe it to yourself to at least consider it. I took this serving picture tonight. You can decide for yourself but I’m more than pleased. There is a groove where the string and nock meet. No surprise considering how much energy is released at the trigger pull. It’s a dragster for sure.

Honestly this bow shoots everything well. I'd hunt with any I mentioned. Remember, I'm a 50yds and in guy. Is custom better? On dots and long distances probably so. On bending the meat pole, standard arrows will do me just fine.

How would you rate the quietness of the 460,compared to the 505?
Thanks!

Ron. I am shooting 17.5 inch WWB custom arrows out of my Flatline at 465 grs about 445 FPS. I do think it is quieter than my Nitro 505 was. At least from my ears at the shot. There is a longer stroke. More power in the shot. Etc. But that 17.5 inch arrow shoots great and I've been using the shorter plastic stirrup the whole time and it doesn't hang way over etc.

Well good luck on your search.

The guy at at Roger’s in Liberty, Mo. last week when I went there to test them side by side didn’t have a meter but to both his & my ears(with my HA’s in ;)) couldn’t tell the difference in sound between the FL & 505 with the high end TP arrows for each(16” & 20” lengths).
There is a Sound Meter app available for most smart phones.
Works very well, just FYI.

What’s your current sight in distance and the over under out to 40 yards at that speed? Just outta curiosity
Ambush
Not sure if you were asking me?
But mine is. 465 gr arrow. 445 FPS. I'm about 2 inch low at 40 yds with 30 yard sight in. I'm using a Leupold VXR and am trying to stay in 3 inch box from zero to 45. I can almost do that say 3.5 inch with maybe 3/4 inch high at 20 yds.
