The deer season is over and I started running the feeders again last week.
Went out today to top some of the feeders off and check the cam pics. Turkey season starts around April and I’ll have to shut them down and make sure they’re empt and disabled.
After turkey season I’ll start the food plots and the feeders again.
I just love doing this almost as much as hunting.
Here’s a few pics of the 4 feeders and some pics of a few bucks showing up that made it through the season.

That's very encouraging! Looks like you're doing well with the property. Keep it up!

I'm adding 40 acres to my place and have a ton of things to do between now and the end of Feb. Come on down to Texas and I'll put you're advanced skills to good use ;)

Man! It looks like you left some good bucks for next year and the years to come. I'm doing right opposite removing my feeders for a month or two to allow the deer to focus on the wheat and rye that's doing great on my plots. When it start growing high I'll bush hog and drop more clover seeds to add to the clover I planted last fall (with the wheat and rye) which is only and inch high now. A little fertilizer might help too. Once the sun starts burning everything up I'll put my feeders back out for the remainder of the year (baiting allowed here). Whenever it dries out a little I'm planning on liming my plots ASAP. Ive already been busting up some now rotten pine stumps that has been in my plots. Like you....I really enjoy the work ahead...almost as much as hunting the place!;)

I can’t wait to get started on some food plots.
Will start right after Spring Turkey.
I’m glad to see a few good bucks made it.
I get a lot of hunting pressure around me.

I used to put feeders out the day after deer season closed here for turkeys. We have so many around now that I just quit doing so a few years back. I would have deer lined up mornings and evenings waiting for the feeders to go off.

Adding another elevated blind setup for next season.
I found this GameKeeper elevated platform at Walmart on clearance and we just got it together.
We’re going to tuck it in the wood line with a pop up blind on top.
Light enough to move around fairly easy if needed.

Nice work, guys!

I just got back from start'n my two new sit'n spots (and shoot'n lanes) over look'n the swamp where two nice bucks hang out often. They've moved out now it looks like, to winter somewhere dryer. So it's perfect to be crash'n and rip'n around in there now! These guys are so nocturnal, it's the only way to get 'em next season, I think. either that, or it'll blow 'em right out for a while. But, I don't see any other way!
Hitting FB marketplace and picking up stuff. Got a Dick's Timberline hang on for $40 just two years old. Guy said he'll be selling more soon.

The wife said "You don't need any more tree stands."
I said "they are like shoes, for guys."

Perfect time to look. Guys are taking them down and selling them and everyone else if focusing on fishing prep.

Will be headed to Illinois at the end of april, have lots to do this spring. Clearing to make one plot 1/4 acre bigger, have 2 others that didnt do well last year so got to RIP them up and start over. Also want to build an elevated platform like nitro got, that's sweet! Cant wait to get there. Almost as .uch fun as hunting season!
