Nice!
Since he was a non-typical with 20 scoreable points, I got the full 187” although it was a green score by a Commemorative Bucks scorer. I’ve gotten a few 1st place finishes in out local Big Rack contest.Nice!!! We'd call that a five out west here! But 10 sounds 'more' better!!!
I'd like to see this so called 187 though!!!! hint hint![]()
Tim, how can that be? Everyone knows that there are no big bucks in Michigan! LOL! Congrats!Since he was a non-typical with 20 scoreable points, I got the full 187” although it was a green score by a Commemorative Bucks scorer. I’ve gotten a few 1st place finishes in out local Big Rack contest.

Congrats on the outstanding buck!!! I wish you good eating and a great skull mount!!!Went out this morning as I was seeing activity on my cellular cam plus the next 3 days were great mornings according to the Solunar Tables.![]()
Hadn’t had the Mr Buddy going for more than a few minutes and there were 3 does moving off to my left. Poured a cup of coffee and looked down at my spot and there was a 2 pointer. Pretty soon another 2 point and a 6 point were licking the ground where I had put salt pellets down for the past 8 years or so.
I happen to look up and here came the 10 pointer that I saw last week, coming down the side of the hill from the next property over. No wind and I was worried the 3 bucks below me would blow and scare him away so I lined up a 80 yard shot and dumped him right there on the spot with my ML. Wished I had turned my Tactical on but I was in a hurry.
After taking him to get processed this morning, I was able to score him fairly well with the head removed - 138 1/8 gross with only 1 6/8 of deducts. I have enough mounts in the house so this will just be the European skull mount.
This is the first deer I’ve decided to shoot since my 2011 buck that grossed 187”.![]()
It was cold as heck this morning as you can tell by my red face.
