Been trying to log on and look at all your deer pics. You guys have nailed some nice does and bucks this year! I'm not as active as in the off season........due to hunting :) I hope everyone is having a stellar year! I've put some meat in the freezer but the big horns have eluded me.

So far I have 5 under my belt but NC cut back on our doe tags this year so I've had to practice some restraint ;) I punched all my doe tags in the crossbow season. Deer have not been moving well for over a month. Seen a few here and there.

I guess my most fun kill was this small 8 with a suppressed AR10 in 308. 150gr Hornady. Made for a unique picture as he died just like you see here. I'll be honest....I let him walk a few times in bow season but with the doe tags reduced it just came down to needing the meat. I like horns but I do this for the meat nothing more.

I had some real dandies on camera so far it's just not meant to be. I have until Jan 1 to fill my last buck tag so we'll see but as you guys know it gets even harder this time of year. I won't be shooting another one like this one. I'll just have to eat tag soup if it doesn't happen. My son is coming in from training in a couple weeks and I'll turn him loose to shoot whatever he wants :)

I will log back on sometime. Headed to hunt now. Hope you guys continue to have strong success and God bless!

Ole NC boy!!!!!! Good to hear from you:- ) I just drove down to NC to visit my Mom’s grave. Brought back good memories from the late 50’s and 60’s. Times have changed things though. What used to be a thriving farm town has turned into boarded up store fronts and dilapidated buildings. Nothing stays the same.:(

Much of that change … hasn't been for the better either. Technologically, mechanically, and medically we're light years ahead of the 1950's. Yet, seems there's ten times the anger, ten times the misery, ten times the unhappiness and loneliness than there was back then. Seems to be the age of "Outrage." Too many people want to be majorly pissed off all the time. Welcome to the brave new world brought to us by 50 years of liberal "proactive" progress.
