Young does from spring/summer of 2019 are coming into estrus later than the mature does. You’ll still see some breeding here and there when they’re “hot”! It’ll all be over soon!
Young does from spring/summer of 2019 are coming into estrus later than the mature does. You’ll still see some breeding here and there when they’re “hot”! It’ll all be over soon!Should of read 2020. I went out hunting for a few hours yesterday and walking in on the dirt road I noticed a worked over
scrape, I then walked in another 20yds to my ground blind. At 3:15pm I hear something walking behind me,
I turn my head and here is a 7pt buck standing looking my way. He didn't walk down the trail by me but just walked off away. At 3:45 I again hear something behind me, I turn my head and it's a 4pt buck, he walks in almost 5yds away from me standing there looking at me, he came in too fast and I couldn't get positioned for the shot. I tried to raise the bow but he bolted off. Both bucks must of been checking the scrape just behind me.
Next time I'll set up off the scrape. Bucks must still be looking for a hot doe. It was 45* and a great afternoon hunt for me.
