Your instincts are right and unless you found a deeply discounted holiday deal, or timing to get this for your dad is now, I'd say wait for the ATA show. This bow will still be around and possibly cheaper if KI has a new version or a replacement.

We’ve been hunting with crossbows for a few years. He’s using my old Parker thunder hawk as I upgraded to the nitro XRT. The Parker is a great bow and we’ve never had a problem with it. But it don’t got 415. Dude needs a speed bow. I’m aware of the limb problems, or the talk of them anyways. Willing and ready to buy this bow for him. Looking for input from all of you as to if this is the right decision. Only thing really holding me back is the soon coming ATA Show and 2020 lineup. Is this the right time to buy? Is the bow a tank like the Parker? Thoughts?
How strong is he? This is not a rope cockable xbow unless you are reasonably strongPlanning on picking up the ripper 415 as a Christmas present for my old man. I am 56 .He is good.I’ll take that into consideration. He’s a bull tho. And when I say old man, he’s 56. I can’t see cocking the bow being a problem but I’ll see for myself when I test fire the thing
The stock scope that came on my ripper was a lower end lumix, not the speed dial model. I replaced it.Now do you run the stock scope on there? I’ve heard a lot of good things about Hawke scopes. Like working well in low light situations. I’m assuming there similar to the scopes on the high end tenpoint and Ravin bows. I love the scope on my nitro
Same to you, iwhat scope are you using on your xbow? I know you can upgrade scope through ki but expensive. Wyvern creations has $300.00 ravin scopes for $79.00.great deal. Buddy has one and it is good scope.Ok perfect! Thanks a lot bud merry Christmas!
That evox is excellent scope. I am jealous.I got the evo x marksman scope that came stock on my nitro. I don’t really have anything to compare it to but I love it. The stock scope that’s on the Parker is red hot I believe. Red hot brand. And it’s awful. Ima look up that scope you mentioned right now.
It's the benchmark for traditional traditional crossbow scopes today. The best of the best. No need to look Gator. You're where you need to be.Yea it’s the tits. And thanks!
They also have the ki 9.5 furious pro for $299.00 best prices i have seen. They also have the barnett ts370 with crank, a $600.00 package for$249.00. Not as fast as ripper but really put together well. I have owned both the ripper and the ts 370. The field archer did a review of the furious and seemed like he was impressed by it.Gator88 check Northwoods Wholesale Outlet. Killer Instink Ripper 415 is 249.99
Sew,you should sell him one of your Swats! The EvoX scope is the current cream of the crop. However, I haven’t seen the Sig Sauer.
$299.00 is half original price. My SWATs are not for sale!!!
I really liked the Furious 9.5 at the ATA.
