Hope you guys made the wing flaps with heavy duty hinges so they don't fall off in a day... And please tell me you copied mission and scorpyds wide cable slide instead of just free sliding cables on the bottom of barrel?

It is very sad you feel that way. On this bow, the string release device is all the way back just in front of the stock. Without an upper barrel, you would need some kind of heavy girder-type piece to support the scope. The upper barrel not only supports the scope (way forward of the release), but also makes this a very safe design in that you will never have defective or inappropriate arrow blowing up in your face.
As far as KI calling the barrel a barrel, over 90% of crossbows today use barrels and have been calling them that for many centuries.

There are no "wing flaps" (string compression levers) on this bow. They are not needed.
