I just wanted to take a quick moment to remind anyone who heads out into the woods to be extra careful about deer ticks. I went out stump shooting three weeks ago and got a deer tick bite. I never saw the tick and all I had was a small bump for about two weeks. I didn't give it much due because it never got bigger and I felt okay. Last week everyting went to hell in a handbasket. I suffered a massive infection that actually damaged my inner right quadricep and I'm well into the first stage of Lyme Disease. The antibiotic is making me puke my guts out and I feel achy and exhausted. I can barely get through half a day at work and will be burning up all my remaining vacation time.

Please be careful... I wouldn't wish what I'm going thruogh on anyone.

And here I thought steel and aluminum splinters were bad!

Here's to hoping for a full and quick recovery.
