I obviously haven't seen everything they had at the ATA show, but of the things I did see, these were my faves.

1. Spypoint modem. This turns any brand trailcam into a cell cam. At $60 this could be a real game changer.

2. Hawk Ultralight XL treestand. This is supposed to be a 7lb stand for $179. If it's as advertised this would be great for hang and hunt.

3. A new Hawk Helium climbing stick. Nests together very nicely and reduced weight. A very nice stick for 139.00

4. Tie between a solar powered Spypoint mini cell cam and the new Stealth cell cam. The Spypoint is $199. and the Stealth cam is priced at $149.

5. The new cocking mechanism on the Tenpoint crossbows. I probably won't be buying a new crossbow but their new cocking mechanism is a giant leap forward as far as safety is concerned.

Well there's my top five. Anyone else see anything you really liked?

I'm a bit surprised the Sig Sauer Sierra3 optic with crossbow friendly BDX application wasn't a bigger splash. I'm guessing that Sig wasn't there and Mission was their only advocate.

Where does it plug in to a regular trail cam? The only port would be the 12v jack unless it plugged into the SD slot.

What I saw of it, it plugged into the usb port. My only concern about that is most all usb ports are inside the camera. I'm not sure if that would compromise the weather proofing of the camera.

Theres a USB port on the Micro Modem and the cable from the USB port plugs into any game camera with a standard SD card slot. They're saying the plugs are very flat and flexible possibly enough to close the cover if the SD card slot is
behind the cover which most are. It'll be interesting to see how it connects as far as weather proof is concerned...

I got sucked into the Spypoint Link-Micro $105 blitz from the Academy and I was really happy with it. Not continually having my impact into the woods to pull cards was worth the $10 a month upload subscription.

The picture quality from the cell transport was decent, but pulling and downloading from the micro-SD card were really great. 1st pic is from the cell transmission, 2nd is the same pic I downloaded from the card.

Andrea was there with a prototype. It looks like a smaller version of a hang on they made last year. Supposed to be available around March of this year. 499$. Maybe someone can link up one of the youtube vids about it.
Are there pics? Is this a tree climber?
