My Latest Drone Video

As hunting season winds down, I find myself flying more often. Here is a video from weekend before last. Good shots of the capital building and the coliseum that is being renovated. I'm starting to get better at editing and posting the videos together.

BTW, Jackson, MS is a real sh*t hole. But it's the closest city to me that has what I would call a "skyline". The capital building is stunning but everything else..... not so much.

Any way, I welcome your comments. Make sure to change your YouTube settings to watch in 1080P.

I have the Mavic Pro. Better birds are out there now as it was released 3-4 years ago. But it still does pretty good. Kinda like crossbows.... the latest and greatest are very expensive.
I'm a little worried about the future of the hobby to be honest with you. The FAA is working on implementing Remote ID which requires your aircraft AND the remote control to transmit their locations back to them when in flight. This technology is not available at the moment and I've not heard of a way to implement it on older drones. Their plan is that if you don't have remote ID on your aircraft, the only place you will be able to fly it is at a designated air field. Well, that's about as exciting as watching grass grow. So this expensive drone I've purchased will become useless.

The bottom line is the Amazon's of the world want the airspace to themselves (think drone deliveries). And every time there is an aircraft incident/accident people automatically suspect that a drone is involved, which is almost never the case. 99% of the time its a bird strike. Bird strikes happen nearly every day and last time I checked birds don't have Remote ID capabilities and never will. :(
