First off your mileage might vary :).
I ran a little test one of my bows this morning.
I set a clean target up at 60 yards. Arrows are the gold tip 425 ballistic pro. Indexed and shot tuned by myself. Bow is a Excalibur Bulldog 360 the bow is the Huskemaw 4 power scope setting on a optimiser.

Here’s the target. The top group is shot with the cock vane down. Meaning the stiff plane is 12:00 to 6:00 or the dot is on the cock vane.

here we have a outside to outside measurement of. .730 the arrow shaft measurement was .343.
when you subtract the arrow measurement from the outside to outside measurement of your group you get Center to Center or your true group size. This is .387 inch group at 60 yards.

Now I rotated the cock vane clock wise using the next hen as the cock vane. Having a Excalibur using a flat knock allows me to safely do this. I’m using the same arrow just rotated the cock vane untunning the arrow. Then I shot another 5 shot group.

Here’s what it looked like.

Here we have a out side to outside group of 1.016 minus the arrow measurement we have a
.673. I hope I got that right :).

when we combine the groups we get a group size 2.116 after the math.

so as you can see the importance of index shot tuned arrows. And this points out while one arrow might shoot super good. For another arrow to match its poi it has to match it perfectly.

Just something to chew on. :).

Oh, and what's your arrow build, inserts, vanes, nock, etc?
The arrows are gold tip 425 ballistic pro ( i don't recommend them) There good out of the 360 Bulldog but no good out of the mission 400. Inserts are just the Gold tip brass 110gr inserts that came with them cocks are what came in the pack too. Vanes are the NAP Hellfire vanes with ever so slight rt offset.

I indexed them then shot tuned each arrow.

I think i gave $60 for a doz shafts. My goal was make a cheap don't care if i lose it hunting arrow :). For the Excal.

I wish I hadn’t done this lol. I grabbed to other arrows and shot them. I was going to shoot them 3 times apiece but the target ate them. I had to cut them out they was buried out of sight in that bag.

I tried to be as accurate as I could be trying to keep them on there poi. There really close :). As you can see a little lower than the first 5 shots. But more or less made the ragged hole a bigger ragged hole. And I lost some vanes. Now I gotta go to the hardware store for some glue. I should have roughed up that bag target before I started pounding a hole in it lol. Aaa it will be all right snuck bit me lol.

It’s nice to have a fletching jig. It turns a big deal into a oops :).
the all white vane arrow got a white cock vane and 2 green vanes. He graduated from the school of hard knocks lol.

good time to point out why i like the hellfire vanes. The one that had the 2 green vanes that survived getting buried in that bag target and cut out with a knife. All i did was replace the white cock vane. Can you tell what one it was. That's How it came out no doctoring at all. I got them in my hand and can't tell.

That's some good shooting rt2 rifle like accuracy 😉
Thank you.

I have always loved watching a arrow fly and hitting where it should or at least pretty close :). This lead to i would just about hate to know how many arrows i have sent down range. And a love of just shooting 22's

And it's a Excalibur with a trigger tech trigger. And a good scope.

Yeah 300 would be quite far probably have to hold the bow at 45 degree angle
I did this one time in an open field with a lighted nock at dark the arrow only went about 400 yards or so.
