The cables will have they're own track underneath. Look to see how the old ones are installed before removing them..

I went over everything initially and made sure nothing was bent or warped but that was last December

Yes, it's pretty self explanatory. Just look at the cams and you will see where the tear drops are to connect the loops and then the track that they ride in will be right after them. It's pretty hard to screw this up.
