Here's a few products we'll be reviewing in upcoming issues...

The new Viper S400 features TenPoint’s new S1 Trigger mechanism which boasts a clean and crisp trigger break with the advantage of an ultra-smooth 2-stage design, with zero creep in the second stage. It also features a new streamlined and ultra-light TEC-X™ stock, helping to reduce the overall weight of the crossbow to just 7.5-pounds. Its forward draw bow assembly is powered by RX-6 Cams™ and TenPoint’s industry-changing Vector Quad™ Cable System to deliver outstanding performance with nock-splitting, down-range accuracy.

The Viper S400 measures only 32-inches long, weighs just 7.5-pounds, and is a sleek 7.2-inches wide axle-to-axle when cocked. The bow assembly is mounted to TenPoint’s new 17-inch MICRO-TRAC™ fluted aluminum flight rail that reduces the flight deck surface area by an incredible 50%. The minimal string-to-barrel contact ensures the longest string life in the industry. This technologically advanced crossbow is our shortest forward draw crossbow ever at 32-inches. It shoots speeds up to 400 FPS.

The Viper S400 is equipped with the revolutionary ACUslide cocking and de-cocking system. No more straps, pressing buttons, or losing control. Silently cock the crossbow with a mere 5-pounds of force. In the event you don’t take a shot during your hunt, safely de-cock the crossbow by simply backwinding the handle, and unlike other de-cocking systems on the market, stop at any point without the fear of losing control.

The Viper S400 is available double-dip fluid-imaged in Veil Alpine™ camouflage or can be purchased in new Graphite Gray. MAP: $1,599.99 – Veil Alpine™ camouflage or $1,499.99 – Graphite Gray.

I spent last fall field testing the new Vengent S440. It weighs just 7.7 pounds, is a sleek 5.8-inches wide axle-to-axle when cocked and is only 35-inches long. It incorporates TenPoint’s new S1 Trigger design which has zero trigger creep and is one of TenPoint’s latest innovations directly inspired by customer feedback.

Fueled by RX-6-Cams, the innovative cam system rotates 360-degrees and allows the Vengent S440 to have an extended power stroke, producing speeds up to 440 FPS. The Vengent S440’s bow assembly is mounted to TenPoint’s new 20-inch MICRO-TRAC™ fluted aluminum flight rail that reduces the flight deck surface area by an incredible 50%. The minimal string-to-barrel contact ensures the longest string life in the industry.

The Vengent S440 is also equipped with the revolutionary ACUslide cocking and de-cocking system.

The Vengent S440 is available double-dip fluid-imaged in Veil Alpine™ camouflage or can be purchased in new Graphite Gray. MAP: $2,099.99 – Veil Alpine™ camouflage or $1,999.99 – Graphite Gray.

The new R29X, complete with the fully integrated Silent Cocking System, is 29 inches in length, 6 inches axle- to-axle when fully cocked and shoots an impeccable 450 feet per second with a 400-grain arrow.

The new Silent Cocking System ensures the crossbow is in silent mode continuously every time the crossbow is cocked. Cocking the Ravin is fast and easy with the patented Versa-Draw™ Cocking System. This compact, ambidextrous system is integrated into the stock and provides the ability for simple cocking and uncocking. No longer does a shooter have to fire the crossbow to un-cock it. The Versa-Draw™ cocking system requires just 12 pounds of draw force.

The R29X’s 12.5-inch power stroke produces 180-foot pounds of kinetic energy along with a physical weight of 6.75 pounds. Customers have the choice of the standard R29X as well as the upgrade to the R29X Sniper Package, which features a Tactical Crossbow Scope, Scope Level, .001 Arrows and the Jack Plate Adjustable Elevation Mount. The R29X will be available in Predator Dusk Camo with an MSRP of $2,649.99 for the standard and $3,049.99 for the R29X Sniper Package.

I have one and overall it's a lot of Xbow that checks both the speed and narrow attributes many are looking for in a Xbow. Great price point too.

What's the buzz on the Swat XP? I read here where someone shot the crossbow at the show and the string flew off

They had put the wrong string stops on the bow I was told. Everything is fixed and shooting good again.

Hopefully someone can report on the Swat cocking mechanism and does it also de-Cock, plus how good the trigger is for poundage & travel. Those are two very critical elements many considering the crossbow for future purchase will want to fully understand.
I appreciate your play by play as I cant be there. I must say though I haven't been overly productive at work this aft.

That looks very small and narrow !! I like it personally. That is one very compact and utilitarian bow ! That's what I'll need when I'm older and in need aids to get me through my remaining few some years of my life. Way to go TenPoint!
