.....and this deer hunting season is over. I’m ok with that, seeing how blah this season has been. I’ll start trying to stir up a coyote with my electronic callers. They are shrewd rascals. The change up will be interesting, plus deer chasing dogs will be back in their pens:rolleyes:. I’ve only shot one coyote with my crossbow quite awhile back. There’s more of them around here now than ever.

Jan 12th here but I'm done already. Freezer is full and I'm ready to fish! Also time to start making the plots bigger and better for next year. I'll do this the weekends it's too windy to fish.;):)

Get that A Rig out:cool: for the staging winter pattern before pre-spawn. Caught some monsters, 2-3 at a time with that rig. It works! I'm sure you probably already know that. Like the jig on docks this time of year too. This is big fish time of the year right now. :D

Winter fishing is tough so my motto is don't get mad, get even. Fished my share of BFL's and Bass Pro Shop tournaments 10 years ago. ;)
2020 I plan to get another boat but it will be a tin bass boat. My glass boat days are over. Too much maintenance. Yikes!

Alabama hunt goes into 2nd week of Feb so the fat lady has not sung yet!:D:p:cool:

Tom, all that sounds like fun but for me now it more for relaxation. I like to fish for the big catfish during the winter months just to feel the pull then I let 'em go but my real passion is crappie fishing. Once the rains slow down and the lake clears from mud and debris I'll be after those big girls loading up on shad maturing their eggs.;)

That intensity is gone as well! It's all about the relaxation now. However, with hunting, nothing gets my ticker amped up when I see a buck. Glad that it does too!

Tom, when that ends then you can hang up hunting. It wont be any fun after that! Anybody that doesn't get a little excited when they know theyre fixing to get a shot doesn't need to be hunting anymore.

Our last day is Wednesday. Season didn't go as planned but God blessed me with some meat in the freezer. I had some real nice bucks on camera they just wouldn't cooperate. That's hunting. I have one tag left but it may not get filled
