Anyone know if the only difference between the crossbow and vertical Megameat is the collar? I bought a bunch of the vertical type but wanted to convert them to crossbow if the collar is the only difference.

Yes, get the red crossbow collars and you are good to go. 11.99 on eBay. Just be sure the blades are clipped in properly! I really think that is what has caused an occasional flyer reported by some here.
