Finally sent it on an R10 for this year. I have a BNIB Hawke XB-1 SR optic in hand- is it worth replacing the kit scope that comes on the R10 with the Hawke? Their website describes what will be coming with it only as a "100 yard illuminated scope." Thanks in advance for any input.

We have no issues with our Ravin's stock scope (1-5.5X mag) to 60 yards so far.
Personally, I like the view through it.

Give it a try, you may like it too.
If not, the Hawke is on stand-by.

I hated the low light capabilities of the ravin scope. Also compared to others it is pretty cluttered. I would, but it's all personal preference.

Check, thanks for the replies. My eagerness to replace the kit optic comes from a really sickening experience I had last year- missed a handsome Sika stag at about 35 yards because, I believe, of the cheap Chinese-made kit scope that came on a Parker crossbow I own. Basically, I'm trying to go with the most rugged and repeatable optic I can find.

Separately, I don't suppose the limbsaver split limb dampeners are recommended for Ravin bows, are they?
