NEW RAVIN R 500 SERIES CROSSBOWS SHATTERS INDUSTRY SPEEDS:

Ravin’s new R500 Series Crossbows deliver staggering speeds of 500 feet per second with a 400-grain arrow—making them the fastest and most powerful crossbows ever created. The top-of-the-line crossbows include new technology and accessories such as the Ravin Electric Drive System for push-button cocking and decocking, plus the new Ravin Adjustable Turret Scope—all with slim axle-to-axle widths of just 3.6 inches cocked.
“The advancements we’ve made in technology are truly remarkable,” says Doug Guthrie, head of New Product Development for Ravin. “These breakthroughs allow our customers to shatter the 500 feet per second threshold in a crossbow that’s even smaller than ever before possible. With the introduction of the Electric Drive System—being able to cock and decock with the push of a button—hunters and shooters gain flexibility in the field, benefit from streamlined ease-of-use, and enjoy top of the line accuracy with every shot.”

R500 Series Crossbows
All Ravin R500 Series Crossbows feature the new proprietary HexCoil Cam System, producing speeds of 500-feet-per-second with axle-to-axle widths of 3.6 inches cocked or 7.6 inches uncocked. The series includes the upgradable R500, R500E (with Ravin Electric Drive System), R500 Sniper (with Ravin Adjustable Turret Scope, Scope Level, and .001 Premium Arrows) and the top-of-the-line R500E Sniper, with a complete set of features and accessories. Available in Slate Gray, R500 Series Crossbows will start shipping Spring 2021.

R500
Completely silent, the R500 uses the new R500 Draw Handle and the new VersaDrive Cocking System, with its internal screw drive, to move the Trac Trigger Firing System (TTFS) back and forth. The internal clutch within the VersaDrive System eliminates over-cocking and allows cocking and uncocking to be stopped at any point during the process. The R500 can be upgraded to the R500E by purchase of the new Electric Drive Kit, sold separately. MSRP $3,049.99
Ravin R500E

The R500E adds the new Ravin Electric Drive System to the R500, allowing users to cock or decock the crossbow with the push of a button. Users will have the option to seamlessly cock and decock the R500E manually with the included R500 Draw Handle. The Ravin Electric Drive consists of a 12-volt battery and motor unit that can be easily detached from the stock for storage or recharging via the included charging dock. MSRP $3,349.99

Ravin R500 Sniper
Designed for shooters who want pinpoint accuracy via a single crosshair scope, the R500 Sniper adds the new Ravin Adjustable Turret Scope. With this, shooters can adjust yardage on the fly in the field with a quick turn of the elevation turret. The R500 Sniper includes the Ravin Scope Level ensuring perfectly balanced shots, as well as six .001 Premium Arrows. The R500 Sniper can be upgraded to the R500E Sniper with purchase of the Electric Drive Kit, sold separately. MSRP $3,449.99

R500E Sniper

RAVIN INTRODUCES FIRST EVER TAKEDOWN-STYLE CROSSBOW
Seriously Small and Extra Wicked: Introducing the Ravin R18
Ravin turns traditional crossbow design on its head with the R18, using the new VertiCoil Cam System to compact a full-power crossbow into a weapon a fraction of the size of all others. Unlike any other crossbow in history, the takedown-style R18 is a narrow 4.75 inches wide only 18 inches long without its detachable stock configuration.

The proprietary VertiCoil Cam System that powers the R18 takes already legendary HeliCoil Technology and—literally—cranks it up. This system rotates the R18’s ultra-small cams 720 degrees, wrapping the crossbow string and cables around the cam and cam axle, resulting in an astounding axle-to-axle height of just 1.3 inches when cocked.

“Every year we identify and obliterate boundaries no one else in our industry sees,” says Doug Guthrie, New Product Development at Ravin. “The R18 is a unique takedown-style crossbow and has the latest groundbreaking and innovative technology from Ravin.”

Using the VertiCoil Cam System, the limbs of the R18 expand vertically instead of horizontally for an axle-to-axle height of just 1.3 inches when fully cocked or 4.1 inches uncocked. The 6-pound R18 features a detachable stock with an integrated removable quiver system, built-in cocking mechanism for an easy draw, anti-dry fire/auto safety and built in sling mounts. Inside the box contains the new Ravin 3-Dot Reflex Sight for an easy target acquisition, three 350-grain 16-inch R18 arrows with field points and a removable draw handle. The R18 is black and will be available Spring 2021 with an MSRP of $1,549.99.

Wow, incredible tech, but sure looks like the top shelf manufacturers are determined to price themselves out of business. Sure, they'll sell some, but will it be enough?

All I got to say is Thank the Good Lord they didn't discontinue the R10.
It's lighter than the SWAT XI, faster and will definitely pack a more serious punch down range.
Everyone's needs are different based on their size and style of hunting but for me, the R10 is perfect.
I'm not into midget crossbows and for my style of hunting they have zero benefit over my R10.

R18 is 330fps which is not too shabby for a bow that is only 18 inches long and 4 inches wide and can be taken down. Talk about the ultimate bow for packing and traveling with.

Not sure what we call it though. Not a "crossbow"bow. Is it a vertical bow, lol?
