Welcome!!! Did you read that link I gave above? Sorry, got no experience on poke'n elk. But me thinks you'd want a real tough blade! And I've heard from someone here, that his son shot 8 deer with the same TruGlo before it blew up on a rock!!! IDK about the other heads how they'd hold up. But 8 deer....Sounds pretty tough!!!!I’m a new member so hope I’m not jumping in where I shouldn’t but, when you all are highly recommending these bh’s
are you thinking whitetail only? I’m debating fixed or mechanical for elk this October and would value your input on these for elk or not. Shooting Sub 1 xr Thanks!

Ya, I was in the 'no mechanical' club! Buuuut, this SEW guy again got meYes, I did read it, much appreciated. In fact that’s what made me ask about elk. It looks and sounds like tru-glo would do the job. My dilemma is the outfitter “highly recommends” fixed but I’m not sure he’s up on the technology advances made with mechanicals and that’s all I’ve ever used; I’ve never hunted elk either.
