A lot of times the creaking and sometimes popping noise comes from the rockers or pivot points on the risers. Some Black Lightning graphite wax will take care of that.

Shadow Cocking Noise
New to xbows, picked up a Shadow NXT. Noticed that it does alot of creaking and groaning when cocking. Everything looks good. Is this normal?

Can that be applied without disassembling the bow?
Not usually. Have to get the wax between the limb and the pivot support.
I've tried liquid type lubes on the pivot pockets and they just didn't work for me. Had to break it down, clean the lube off and then apply the wax. You may have better luck though.
