Ok guys its been a while since we have given anything away. So we are looking for a hero who has or is serving in the military, law enforcement or reserves. Once we find this person we are going to give him or her a new Centerpoint Crossbow!

So let the vetting begin, the person can be active, retired or reservist!

First of all... I would like to thank all of you who're actively serving now, have served and are veterans and our reservists, guardsmen and Coasties. I and my family truly appreciate the sacrifices you make, your family makes and the freedom we enjoy because you protect it! My dad was a Korean War vet and he instilled in me a pride for America and our veterans that will never fade away. I salute you all.

I'd also like to thank our law enforcement officers of all types. Police officers, sheriff's dept, border patrol, transit authority, et all. You keep us safe in our communities and cities. Firefighters...I applaud you as well. Being an exempt volunteer fireman, I know how hard you all work to keep us safe and save lives, putting your own at risk for others.
May God bless you all, protect you always and your families while you serve our nation, community, border or big cities. You truly are our American heroes.

Now...the name in the hat seems fair but why don't we just raise money and give them all a crossbow? Just a thought.

There a great group of vets here, some active duty guys as well, policemen, firemen, teachers and other civil servants. Let's not rush this and continue to look for the right guy/gal that needs a new xbow.

BTW, thanks again Jerry for doing this. You've done this a number of times for the greater good of this crossbow community. A tip of the hat to you.... ;)

First of all, thank you so much for the giveaway. I think it's an incredible gesture. As for nominating someone, I'd like to nominate my Brother In Law Anthony Strubberg.

Anthony lives in East Central Illinois and works at the Danville Correctional Center there. He is a former Marine who served our country with great distinction and honor. Anthony is the 2nd husband to my wife's sister Angela. Angela is like a younger sister to me and for many years raised 2 boys on her own before Anthony came into her life. As a retired Corrections Supervisor of 30 years I was at first a little hesitant when Angela first asked my wife about dating "A DOC" guy. After a couple of discrete phone calls to some old friends, it was determined that "he was a good dude". When he did enter her life and they eventually got married I was just happy beyond belief. I had always tried to be the positive male role model that Angela's boys needed but it was hard since I live 3 hours away.

Anthony hit the ground running and has made such a positive impact in their lives. I can see so much change for the good in the kids since he as been a part of their lives. Our family has been so blessed since Anthony became part of it it's hard for me to put into words. He's my brother in law but I introduce him as my friend first because that's the place he holds. He's kind, generous and always willing to help anyone who needs him. I couldn't think of a more deserving recipient of your gift. Not just because of his service to our country but because of his continued service to his community and family.

On a side note, It's kind of interesting that you're offering a crossbow as I've been teasingly tempting him to get one for several years now. He still hunts vertical bow and mama has always kiboshed him getting a crossbow as an unnecessary expense! It would be really cool to see him get his first crossbow as a token of yours and my appreciation rather than having to buy one just for the sake of buying one.

Thanks again for your generous offer and for considering Anthony as a recipient of your gift!

Merry Christmas!

Jim
